The first celebration of Serena in Mexico, Las Cruses

Since 2007, a joint children's book project has begun with a Mexican author Kali Rodriguez.  Kali's family were the pioneers of Mexican tourism which created the very first resort (Rancho Las Cruces) in Baja California Sur.  Kali continues her family legacy to connect people to the beauty of the land through tourism and writing.  Through a triology of children’s books, it is hoped that the rarely known history of Ancient native Mexican people Pericu will be introduced to the world. The triology will weave real places and historical descriptions of Old California with Deities and nature spirits of imagination.  Characters walk through the world often contexted as colonialism with full of courage. Whole events are witnessed and written through the eyes of Divine Beauty and forgiveness. The first published book of this series is called Serena Mother of Pearls.
